Google has been accused of conspiring with Apple in an agreement to acquire the Android operating system, but it is also being sued by Apple for antitrust violations.
The New York State Attorney General filed the antitrust suit in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York on Monday, accusing Google of failing to offer sufficient incentive for Apple to adopt Android and its competitors.
In a statement, Apple said it was reviewing the complaint.
“We look forward to reviewing the Attorney General’s allegations, and are confident that we will prevail,” it said.
Apple has previously said it would not be willing to sell Android for its own purposes.
