The show, which features characters like the titular corporation and a new version of an old-school detective show, will premiere in fall 2018.
The series is a follow-up to the successful series Corporate Heroes.
“We’ve been trying to figure out how to do that with our existing network, and what we’ve realized is that the best way to do it is with this brand new network that we’ve created,” co-creator, executive producer, and writer Josh Farkas tells EW.
“The best part is that we can just get our fans to watch the new show, and that’s the best thing that’s ever happened to Atlas.”
The show will have a similar structure to its predecessor, with episodes revolving around individual companies or groups of companies.
While there’s no specific story arc to this show, Farkamas and the other co-creators hope that it’ll allow for fans to “feel connected” to the characters and their respective organizations.
The new show also features characters from the company’s past, which will allow the writers to keep things fresh, Fader says.
“What you’ll see is these characters in the same world that you’re familiar with,” Farkams says.
Atlas Networks has created a lot of content over the years, but this is the first time it’s bringing the company back to its roots.
“As far as the old stories, that was one of the biggest hurdles we had,” Fader adds.
“But we really felt that this was an opportunity to create a brand new brand of storytelling that would have the audience connected to the company and the brand that it stands for.”
The new series will also have a darker, more gritty tone than the first series, and Farkans hopes to make it a bit darker than its predecessor.
“There are some characters that are very much in their early 20s or early 30s, but they are still very young and young-at-heart, and they are very young-ish,” Fideras says.
While it might not be the darkest show out there, Atlas Networks says the series is aimed at young adults.
“It’s going to be about the young and the young-hearted, and it’s going a little bit more gritty than the show that came before it, but that’s a little lighter in tone,” Farks says.
The show has been praised for its depiction of the corporate world.
“For us, corporate is a pretty important part of our DNA,” Fadell says.
“[We’re] very excited to be able to be in the business that the people that make us want to work in.”
Farkanas says the company is hoping to create “some really great content for fans of the company.”
“We have some great shows in the works for 2018,” he adds.
In addition to the new series from Atlas Networks, there’s also a new corporate adventure series called Corporate Heroes: Super Heroics coming to Hulu.
“I think what you’re going to see from us is a really great brand of corporate drama that will be more like the series that was on Atlas Networks that you’ll find in your TV library,” Fadar says.
